Infant Christmas Dresses

18 Oct

The origin of Santa Claus and the concept of gifts in stockings resulted from the thoughtfulness of St. Nicholas who introduced an innovative way of celebrating Christmas, donning the dress of Santa and meeting children. This became a concept and children normally expect a Santa and lots of carols with the Christmas song. December 25th is multifold in its celebration with church visits, praying, partying, visiting friends and acknowledging that gifting is an expression of love.

Any celebration is incomplete without music and food. Christmas recipe books flood the market with cross culture culinary interests. Baking a Christmas cake is still a religious thing and the event is made successful with home made goodies. There are variations in the kind of sweets made during Christmas as per the culture of the country. The Christmas Eve mass is a necessary attendance for all Christians. This is a holiday time too in many countries as the week long holiday goes up to welcoming the new year. Party times mean high fashion and this rules the wardrobe necessity of young, old, men, women and definitely children.

Christmas time is also associated with pageant competitions for infants and little carnival attempts. The market is flooded with all assortments of accessories, inner wear, play things, Christmas trees, stars, decoration and dainty angelic dresses for infants. While purchasing infant clothing, we need to look out for a few things than can cause discomfort to children. The kind of dress for infants has to be the right size. The usual idea of buying a size larger so that kids do not outgrow a dress renders discomfort and embarrassment. If lace and other works are very close to the neckline, kids may develop a rash. Infant baby skin is tender and much prone to rashes. Uncared rashes are difficult to treat and may cause infections.

Understand the skin type and use a moisturizer. If inners are necessary then use the same to avoid direct contact with the fancy material. Too tight clothing and over use of wool can result in overheating. Full sleeves seem best to beat the cold and inner thermal for kids ensures warmth. Supervise all the embellishments like buttons, fasteners, zips and embroidery as kids tend to taste all such decorations.

Dress your baby as a Santa complete with cap and mittens in red. Frock the baby as an angel, with wings for the photo session. Use halters, criss cross backs, short hemlines and match well with accessories. There are lace and knit hair bands and bracelets in plastics. The empire cut ball room gown in red or mauve with ribbed deep V neck is perfect for the first Christmas party of your little angel. Most of the interiors seem to be protected with heaters and hence such party dresses are comfy . Make sure to carry causal wear in red, white, green with bibs, booties and caps, as too much of dressy gowns and tuxedos are not long term comforts for infants.
